Since our beginnings, we have sought to redefine the art of measuring time. Each creation is a tribute to French icons and a nod to the ingenuity that has shaped our country.

OUR HISTORY
Timothée Barbier and Guillaume Rémond met in Dijon, on the benches of the University of Burgundy. Very quickly, they discovered two common passions: design and a certain vision of watchmaking.
They will call their brand Gustave & Cie: a nod to Gustave Eiffel, originally from Dijon, for whom they have great admiration.
Remember their bow ties, precisely in metal… nothing trivial in all that. But very quickly, their desire to create an authentic French watch brand will impose itself, with as a major component, the principle of the single-hand concept.
WATCHES ASSEMBLED IN FRANCE

OUR PRODUCTS
In 2024, the young watchmaking house, which is celebrating its 7th anniversary today, will unveil its first collections of 3-hand watches: Charles & Hector, in homage to the two great French architects Charles Garnier and Hector Guimard.
These Quartz and Automatic watches are designed for those who appreciate the charm of the old as much as the precision of the new, for those who seek subtle elegance and understated sophistication.

AMBITIONS & VALUES
Our ambitions? To allow everyone to afford a timeless watch, designed to the highest quality standards, with solid and durable materials, all at a fair price.
We are also committed to being transparent about the production origin of our components:
• The cases, dials and hands are manufactured by our partner in Asia, with 15 years of experience and using the latest generation of machines.
• The assembly of the watches is carried out in France, in Besançon, by our artisan watchmakers.
• Final assembly, fitting of bracelets and quality control are carried out by the Gustave & Cie team in our Parisian workshops, before shipping.
