OUR STORY
Timothée Barbier and Guillaume Rémond met in Dijon, at the University of Burgundy. They quickly discovered two shared passions: design and a particular vision of watchmaking.
They named their brand Gustave & Cie, a nod to Gustave Eiffel, who was born in Dijon and whom they greatly admire.
Remember their bow ties, made of metal? Nothing about this was accidental. Very quickly, however, their determination to create a truly French watch brand became clear, with the single-hand concept as a key element.
OUR WATCHES
Gustave & cie continues to develop its universe by enriching its collections. Faithful to the single-hand design that became its signature, the brand is now exploring new expressions of time through two- or three-hand watches. Each model is an extension of its DNA: paying tribute to great French figures who shaped history through their vision and boldness.
These quartz and automatic watches are designed for those who appreciate the charm of the past as much as the precision of the new, for those seeking subtle elegance and understated sophistication.

Our ambitions? To enable everyone to afford a timeless watch, designed to the highest quality standards, with solid and durable materials, all at a fair price.
We are also committed to being transparent about the origin of our components:
• The cases, dials and hands are manufactured by our partner in Asia, with 15 years of experience and using state-of-the-art machinery.
• The watches are assembled in France, in Besançon, by our watchmaking artisans.
• The final assembly, the fitting of the straps and quality control are carried out by the Gustave & Cie team in our Parisian workshops, before shipping.
