For GUSTAVE et cie, there is no "ideal" watch size. However, if your wrist measures less than 15cm, it is strongly recommended to go for a 36mm case. Conversely, if your wrist measures more than 18cm, we recommend a 40mm case.

All our Quartz watches are 5 ATM waterproof, which means that they can withstand hand washing and everyday use, but especially not deep and long immersion.

Our Jules automatic watch has a 200 meter water-resistant stainless steel case suitable for swimming and scuba diving.

Our batteries have an average life of about 2 years. You can have the battery changed at any jeweler/watchmaker.

All our watches are guaranteed for 2 years.

The warranty only applies when a part is defective or a manufacturing defect is found. It cannot take effect if, during disassembly, the watch shows obvious signs of being dropped or impacted, of being unsuitably submerged or buried in sand, or in the event of improper use, manipulation of the internal mechanisms, etc. Bracelets are not covered by the warranty.

All our watches are single-hand (one hand). The hand indicates the hour and minutes simultaneously, so we cannot read the exact minutes, which allows for a more zen vision of time. For the 12 o'clock, each line represents 5 or 10 minutes depending on the collection.

24-hour watches shake up the codes by revisiting the concept of a 24-hour dial used by the military in submarines to distinguish between day and night. The hand takes a whole day to go around the dial. All our watches are single-hand (one hand). The hand indicates the hour and minutes simultaneously, so we cannot read the exact minutes, which allows for a more zen vision of time. For 24-hour watches, each line represents either 10 minutes for the André collection or 15 minutes for the Antoine collection.

Pull the crown out until you feel a second click. Then turn the crown to set the time. Remember to push the crown back in properly, otherwise water could leak into the case.

Your 24-hour watch requires a finer adjustment than conventional watches. We recommend that you follow these instructions to set the time and date.

TIME SETTING:
1 – Pull the crown out completely, to the second click.
2 – Turn the crown down (counterclockwise) to set the time. Be careful, it is important that the hand always turns clockwise.
3 – Once the time is set, push the crown back to the initial position.

If you have accidentally turned the hand counterclockwise, turn it again one full turn of the dial in the correct direction (clockwise) and stop at the correct time.SETTING THE DATE:
1 – Pull the crown out to position 1, i.e. to the first click.
2 – Turn the crown upwards (clockwise), stop at the correct date and push the crown back into its initial position.
Note: It is necessary to adjust the date for months of 28 or 30 days in order to manually move it to the 1st.

Please note that when setting the date, if you turn the crown in the wrong direction, you can throw the watch out of adjustment. If you throw it out of adjustment, the date will no longer change at midnight. You will therefore need to reset it by following these instructions:
1 – Pull the crown out completely to the second click.
2 – Turn the crown down (counterclockwise) until the date changes.
3 – When the date has changed, push the crown back one notch to position it on the first click.
4 – Turn the crown down (counterclockwise) until the hand points to midnight, then push the crown back in.
5 – Then set the date and time following the previous instructions.

Thanks to the lug bar system, you can change the strap in less than ten seconds without tools. Be careful to put the part of the strap with the buckle at the top of the watch at 12 o'clock.
